The Upper Ocoee is a perfect half-day trip for experts, novices, family groups, and recreations clubs. Dry prior to the Olympics, the Upper Ocoee has once again come alive. This section features the Olympic Whitewater course plus five miles of exciting whitewater. Our professionally-trained guides will navigate you through class III and IV rapids such as "Humongous," "Let's Make a Deal," and "Slam Dunk." A dam-controlled river, the Ocoee water levels remain high all summer. Releases on the Upper are limited to certain weekends. Click the icon below for the current release schedule.


Minimum Age: 12 years

Intensity Level: Exciting but not strenuous. No previous whitewater experience needed.

Trip Length: Approximately 3 hours (1½ hours on the river)

Meals: Be sure to try our deli-deck restaurant at the rafting center.

Equipment
Furnished:
Raft, paddle, life jacket, helmet, and paddling jacket if needed.

Transportation
Provided:
To and from the river from our Rafting Center in Ducktown, Tennessee.

Facilities: Changing rooms and showers, deck restaurant, store, picnic area.
