It's all about location, darling! Five minute walk from Empire
State Building and 7 minute walk from Macy's, what more could you
ask for? There\'s a great deli on the corner of 5th and 31st and it
served us well for the 6 mornings we were there in the hottest heatwave
in New York for 35 years. The junior suite room we had was roomy and
ideal for us and our 13 year old son. He had his own TV and there
was Nintendo (cost) in our
room. The room was tatty and the view down into the courtyard was
dismal. However the air conditioning was champion and the rooms were
cleaned regularly. We've stayed in Formule One hotels in France with
far less character and the red light district of Amsterdam which was
far tackier and as expensive. At 95 pound a night for an excellent
view of the ESB if you're lucky, we couldn't and didn't complain.
PS : The lifts are small and smelly but THEY WORK!!!
