MAESTRO for Spanish Teachers
Overview
MAESTRO for Spanish teachers features
advanced Spanish classes at top language
institutions, workshops on teaching
culture, cultural and educational
activities and excursions, and the
opportunity to meet with both local and
U.S. Spanish teachers. Discussions on general
aspects of culture as
well as the local culture in specific
will generate ideas for teaching culture
in the classroom.
Who Can Participate?
MAESTRO programs are open to all Spanish
teachers with a intermediate or higher
level of Spanish. If you're Spanish is
rusty, you should register for a week or two
of classes before the program start
date.
What Can You Expect?
This MAESTRO program offers teachers a
chance to brush up on their language and
cultural skills as well as a unique opportunity
to learn new strategies for teaching
language and culture in the Spanish classroom.

Alternative Program - Yucatan Spanish Institute
Our Yucatan Spanish
Institute held in Merida, Mexico focuses
on Mayan history, Latin American
literature, Mexican traditions and
legends. The program is for
advanced or higher Spanish speakers and
includes weekend excursions, meetings
with writers and other activities.
