Company Facts
Innovation and Technology Leadership
Corrigo was first to market in 1999 with its Web-based field service management application, enabling two-way communication using WAP on a mobile phone and a RIM pager, today’s BlackBerry™. Designed from the ground up for the on-demand world vs. “bolted on” to an existing client-server application framework, Corrigo’s technical approach enables rapid deployment and low administration effort delivering a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). By using Corrigo’s ASP solution, customers immediately increase productivity of high cost field service management, while eliminating infrastructure and hidden costs with traditional software deployments.
Corrigo’s industry leading KnowledgeBase™ is another market differentiator. This extensible database within the application houses tens of thousands of activity-based templates unique to the verticals Corrigo serves. Each template contains all the attributes and workflow parameters associated with delivering service on a particular asset, like a dishwasher or a CAT scanner. A customer is defined as a set of the templates, e.g. a fast-food outlet is a set of buildings, fryers and bun warmers.
All service activities are driven by the underlying asset template on which the service will be performed. Both the core product and the optional modules leverage this database architecture to deliver out-of-the-box a very rich and powerful experience. Modules include, for example: Inventory Management, Inspections, GPS and Mapping for mobile applications, Warranty Management, and many others. The Customer Portal module enables companies to customize and brand their service to their end customer—a large homebuilding customer uses this with its home buyers—enabling an extra level of service.
Company Breakthroughs
In addition to the company’s first to market and TCO leadership, it has established a breakthrough position with its device communications strategy and technology platform.
Since its inception, Corrigo’s focus has been to be “device agnostic” by optimizing the application to run on all major telecommunication carriers’ devices. And, regardless of how technologically advanced a company is or isn’t, it can choose to use Corrigo with one, or a mix of communication choices including: FAX, e-mail, IVR, paging, and SMS, WAP, HTML, cHTML, xHTML, PPC, Java, BlackBerry and GPS devices.
Corrigo’s web services architecture for integration enables rapid and robust integration to ERP, CRM, accounting, payroll, materials, purchasing, telemetry, contract and other systems. Frequently integrated systems include products from Oracle, JD Edwards, Peoplesoft, Best Software, Intuit, and others. Corrigo supports this integration with an internal team and a developer tool kit and developer community.
