At Gunflint you can select the outdoor adventure of your dreams – from a cabin vacation with all the luxuries you could wish for, to a wilderness canoe trip exploring the famed Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the largest waterways wilderness in our nation with over 1,000 clear water lakes.
The atmosphere at Gunflint is home-away-from-home comfort -- a place where you'll arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. You won't merely feel like you belong -- you will know this is your home up north.
At the Gunflint Lodge, lakeside cabins all come with a fireplace, sauna, hot tub, full kitchen, 1-4 bathrooms, 1-4 bedrooms, and many have an outside porch. Gourmet meals are served in the main lodge, with premium coffee and homemade cookies available all day. Picnic lunches are offered to those taking day trips by boat/motor or canoe to explore adjacent lakes.
Activities include fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, mt. biking, swimming, and about 20+ naturalist activities each week. Vacation packages are offered for families, fishing trips, honeymoons, anniversary weekends, women’s retreats, dog lover’s weekends, gourmet weekends and much more.
Outfitting for wilderness canoe trips includes Royalex or Kevlar canoes, Eureka tents, warm sleeping bags, PFDs, all maps and permits and complete routing from over 50 canoe routes in the BWCA that range from 3 to 14 days in length.
