Buffalo Outdoor Center is a luxury adventure resort located high in the Ozark Mountains on the Buffalo National River. Founded in 1976, BOC has grown from a small canoe rental business into a first-class wilderness retreat featuring handcrafted log cabins, a beautiful mountain-top lodge, plus, the equipment and skilled staff to help you explore Buffalo River country by canoe, hiking trail, horseback, or even hot air balloon.
We personally designed and built our lodge and cabins, giving each one its own unique style. For example, our couples' cabins offer luxurious romantic seclusion, while family and group cabins combine comfort with value. For weddings, family reunions, and other group gatherings, RiverWind Lodge offers the perfect setting with its spacious accommodations and meeting room, well-equipped kitchen, campfire pavilion, and, above all, its 30-mile view of Buffalo River country.
The focal point of our resort, however, is the Buffalo National River itself. Designated as America's first National River in 1972, the Buffalo roams through some of the Ozark's highest mountains and is considered by many to be both Arkansas' and mid-America's most scenic place. As our guest, you'll be connected with the Buffalo's most experienced and knowledgeable outfitter, which gives you access to all the information you need to explore and discover the Buffalo's many special places.
