Ratchet Load-binders are quickly becoming the only load-binder to use. This is due mainly to two reasons. 1,Ease of use. Ratchet Load-binders are capable of tensioning a chain safely to a phenomenal amount, they cannot spring open when in use and they do not open if the chain looses tension whilst driving. 2, Health and Safety. As you are probably aware it is the Employers duty to ensure the employee's safety during working hours. There have been many accidents due to drivers / loaders falling off vehicles whilst using over centre binders. This not only causes court cases and compensation but also causes the operative both pain and hardship if unable to work again. Ratchet Load-binders drastically reduce the chances of accidents as there is no need to use tubes etc and there is no sudden release of pressure when tensioning. Also, and probably more importantly, They do not spring open when released.
