The music played on Radio Melanesia has authentic examples of both the contemporary and traditional forms of Melanesian music from Pacific islands such as Fiji, Irian Jaya (West Papua), Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, along with some specially selected beautiful and rare music from Polynesia and Micronesia.
