All about the Bronco Fix Mailing List

What is the BroncoFix.com Mailing List?

The BroncoFix.com Mailing List is an Internet-based email discussion list dedicated to the 1966 to 1977 Ford Bronco. Membership is available to anyone with access to a computer and an email account. Oh yeah, and you should have an Early Bronco, too. Or maybe shopping for one.

On the Bronco Fix mailing list, what is REAL-TIME versus DIGEST mode?

REAL-TIME mode means whenever an email is sent to the list, it forwards that email to all of the REAL-TIME members as quickly as possible. So if 50 messages are sent in one day, REAL-TIME members receive 50 messages as soon as they are sent.

DIGEST mode means that all of the 50 messages that are sent during the day are compiled in to a single message and sent out at 1:00 AM for the previous day's email. In other words, instead of receiving 50 messages per day, on DIGEST you will receive one very large message with 50 messages combined inside that email.

If you have additional questions on this, email the admin at admin@broncofix.com.

How is BroncoFix.com different from other Early Bronco mailing lists?

Bronco Fix is owned and maintained by avid Early Bronco enthusiasts. Everyone involved owns and loves their early Bronco

How does the Bronco Fix Mailing List work?

After signing up, you will receive a welcome message detailing how to post messages to the Bronco Fix list. Please review the information in the welcome message and save it for future reference.

Here is how the Bronco Fix list works: Each message sent to the Bronco Fix list address (mail@broncofix.com) is distributed to every other Bronco Fix member.  Pretty simple, eh? When you send a message to Bronco Fix, keep in mind that every other list member will receive a copy. If you are replying to a message and your reply is personal, don't send it to the list--send it to the original poster only.

Don't worry, if this is your first email list, you'll get the hang of it in a day or two!

How many emails will I get?

It depends but expect anywhere from 20 to 100 a day, depending on how active list members are on any given day.

When signing up, you can choose between real-time and digest accounts. If your email account has a low megabyte limit (many free email accounts such as Yahoo, Hotmail and others have low limits) and/or you cannot check your mail on a regular basis consider signing up for the digest version of BroncoFix. Instead of receiving a copy of each mail sent by members to Bronco Fix, you will receive a single email that contains all the posts received by our server over a given time period.

What's discussed?

Anything and everything related to Early Broncos. In addition, discussion can involve general 4 wheeling and restoration or other automotive topics. Political and personal are generally allowed unless folks get out of hand. The Admin will help police these issues.

What's not discussed?

Off-topic posting is generally accepted within reason. The list is self policing 90 percent of the time. You'll hear it from list members or the Admin if you've stepped over the line of acceptable content. The other ten percent is left to the discretion of the list administrators.

Are there rules to the list?

Yes, you need to behave like an adult! No flaming, no bashing of people or vendors. Bronco Fix is a discussion list not an attack board. Just be a decent human being and you will be just fine.

Cool! How do I join?

It's easy! Just go back to the sign up page and follow the instructions.
