Alaska Salmon Fishing Charters
During May, June and July there are two runs of saltwater salmon. This first run of King Salmon come in the first part of May and run through the first week in June. On an average most anglers catch King Salmon in the 15-45 lbs. Occasionally, you can catch a 60 pounders. The first of July the second run of King Salmon come and although this run is smaller the fish are bigger.

The average King Salmon weighs 35-60 with an occasional salmon going in the 80 lb. class. We troll for salmon along the beach. We are usually no more that 1 mile from shore. The Alaskan Salmon you will have biting are bright chrome and feisty. You can't get them any fresher. These fish are destined for the many spawning rivers of Alaska's Cook Inlet including Kenai River. While trolling for King Salmon during the first run it is not uncommon to get two or three King Salmon on at a time. Alaska Silver Salmon Fishing Trips
During the end of July and early August Silver Salmon are running in the saltwater of Resurrection Bay. Your fishing adventure starts in at the Seward boat harbor.

Seward is the home of the Silver Salmon Derby. This derby draws people from all of the world as well as the state. Fishing for Silvers in Seward is lots of fun and excitement. Your experienced fishing guide and captain will take you to where the run is. You will either troll along the shores or mooch for them when they are swimming further beneath the surface. Silver Salmon are a fast and feisty fish. There is never a dull moment. It is a sight to see them when the bite is on. It is not uncommon to limit out with 3-6 fish a person in a very short time. Salmon fishing charters in Seward last 6-8 hours. We don't do "doubles" so there is plenty of time for your group to get their fish. You will be the only trip of the day. Usually, you will leave the dock at 6:00 am and will return in the early afternoon. This is a great Alaska fishing adventure.
Kenai River, Kasilof Rivers
Alaska King Salmon Fishing Guide
Kenai River is world known for its giant King Salmon. In May, June and July the King Salmon are running up the Kenai River. The world record was caught here. During July you can also catch those fast and furious Red Salmon (Sockeye Salmon) on their way to their spawning grounds. In August and September it is time for the Silvers to arrive. This time of year the tourism traffic slows down but the fishing is still great! On the Kenai River we offer both 1/2 day and full day fishing charters in May and June. In July the trips are only 1/2 days and in August there is only full day trips offered. These differences are due to the way the salmon enter the river and they allow for the best opportunity to

catch your favorite salmon. The Kasilof River is a drift only river hosting King salmon in May and June.
You will float down the river with an experienced Alaskan River Guide as you look for those Kasilof Kings. Your guide will find the right holes and row you over the spots that will produce the best hopes of filling your salmon tag. Kasilof River Salmon Charters are for full days to allow for plenty of time to enjoy the peace and quiet that comes from drift boat fishing. This is a beautiful trip that everyone should do at least once.
