This trip is an excellent whitewater rafting event for first time rafters, families, & visitors who need to return to catch an evenings' play at the Oregon Shakespearean Festival or have other time or budget constraints. After a half day Rogue river trip with the Adventure Center you will leave with lifelong memories and joyful pictures to fill your vacation photo album. The six mile 1/2 day Rogue River rafting trip with the Adventure Center is excellent in so many ways.

1. How close the launch point on the Rogue is to our convenient departure location in downtown Ashland on the plaza. This enables us to schedule trips that depart daily at 9:30 A.M and return by 2:00 P.M and the afternoon trip that departs at 1:30  P.M. and returns by 5:45 P.M.   Different departure and return times can be arranged for your convenience. This time frame includes transportation that is provided to and from your lodging, if requested, at no extra cost.

2. This is a great trip for everyone from 1st time, to seasoned rafters. The trip starts beneath Gold Raye Dam . The first section is glossy and scenic with class 1 & 2 beginner rapids where you will gain comfort, skill and teamwork in your raft. Then after the warming up section we progress downstream into two fun & exciting class 4 rapids; Nugget & Powerhouse. These rapids are the highlight of the trip and the cumulation of all the skills you learned on the river.

3. The joy of rafting the best stretch of the world famous Rogue River & all it has to offer. From the beautiful scenery along the river bank including the shiny red madrone trees. Occasional deer or bear are spotted on shore. Enjoy the waterfowl in the river; wood ducks, Canada geese and often times the ospreys soaring overhead looking to swoop down and catch a fish.

Full Day Whitewater on the Rogue River

This trip is great is for rafters who want to see more of the Rogue River, and have a great riverside lunch. Our full day on the Rogue trip we stop and have the famous Adventure Center lunch spread. The spread includes gourmet make your own deli style sandwiches, fresh cut fruits and veggies, potato salad, large variety of refreshments, and a huge cookie to top it all of. After lunch you have a variety of options to choose on the second half of the day. The first option is rafting the half-day section all over again. The second & third options are continuing downstream through the calmer class 2 section on inflatable kayaks or continuing rafting through the lower section. The inflatable kayaks are excellent on this section your guide will quickly teach you the basics and under his watch the entire float. The kayaks are optional for those of you who get tired of kayaking or want to soak up the sun you can always climb aboard the raft. With all of these options availble you are sure to have the trip you desire. The full day trip returns at 4 P.M so you can still catch an evenings play or dine at one of the many fine locations in the plaza.

Trip Specifics:

• Meeting place: All Adventure Center trips depart from our convenient location , which is located downtown on the plaza in Ashland. Transportation will be provided to and from your Hotel, Bed and Breakfast or other lodging location . 
  
• Meeting & Return times:  1/2 Day trips depart at 9:30 A.M and return by 2:00 P.M and the afternoon 1/2 day trip that depart at 1:30  P.M. and returns by 5:45 P.M. For day trips , departure time is 8 am and return time is 5:30 pm. All Day rogue river whitewater trips depart at 9:30 A.M and return by 4 P.M. The return time is flexible on the All Day trip ! If needed, you can come back early; or, you can return an hour later in case you are having too much fun to come back on schedule.
• River rating and age limit: The river rating consists of class 2-4+ (minimum age 5 years old, Both the Half, adn Full day trips are an excellent choice for first time rafters as well as families looking for excitement).
• Meals: Our half-day trips come with pastries, fruit and refreshments on the 9:30 departure. The 1:30 departure includes chips with guacamole and salsa and all the refreshment syou can drink. The All day trip includes a  continental breakfast and a gourmet deli style lunch, including; cold cuts, salad, fruits, veggies, chips and salsa, refreshments, and a huge cookie.   There are also options for vegetarians and special requests at no extra cost.
• Equipment: All Adventure Center equipment is top of the line and is provided for your comfort. Equipment includes great tents, professionally laundered sleeping bags, comfortable air mattresses for placement under your sleeping bag, and waterproof bags & containers for your possessions. We also provide wet suits, splash tops, and neoprene booties for early or late season trips. All of our rafts and boats are the best of quality, with excellent maintenance that keeps them in top shape.
  
• Guides & Staff: Anyone who has taken an Adventure Center Trip can tell you that our entire staff, from van drivers to guides, is the best in the industry. Unlike other companies, the Adventure Center has almost no employee turnover. You will see the same charismatic professionals year after year. This allows us to run all our rivers with returning professionals and it assures that all of the procedures are run smoothly.  We have a guide named Jerry who has navigated these same rivers for 25 years; that's the experience that other companies talk of, but we let our faculty stand as the truth! All guides are swift water certified, C.P.R and First Aid certified, and undergo an intensive week long guide camp on the powerful Class 5 Cal-Salmon and Scott rivers.
