Where is Coco Plum Island Resort?

Belize City is only a two-hour flight from Miami, Houston, or Dallas. There are daily flights offered to and from these cities. Coco Plum Island Resort is located on the 16 acre middle caye of the three caye Coco Plum Range. It is the only facility in the range and is only eight miles off the coast of the culturally-rich, southern coastal town of Dangriga. Coco Plum is located almost due east of Dangriga. Coco Plum is a quick 10-minute boat ride from Belize’s amazing Barrier Reef where you can enjoy fabulous snorkeling and diving and a 15-minute boat ride from the mainland, allowing guests the option to also partake in mainland adventure tours.

.How do I get to Coco Plum?

Most guests opt to fly a local carrier from the Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City to Dangriga where someone from Coco Plum will meet you and drive you to our boat. From there it is a 15-minute boat ride to Coco Plum, your small, private island getaway.

Once you have made your reservations with us, we will be happy to make the appropriate local flight reservations for you, just e-mail us your international flight itinerary. The cost of the local round trip flight to and from the international airport in Belize City and Dangriga is approximately $104.25 U.S. per person and flight time is approximately 20 minutes.


 

Which airlines fly to Belize?

For non stop flights: Presently American Airline flies to Belize from Miami (MIA), Continental Airlines and TACA fly from Houston (IAH), U.S. Airways flies from Charlotte (CLT), Delta has a Saturday only flight from Atlanta (ATL), and TACA flies from San Salvador (SAL) and Guatemala City (GUA). All of the above airlines and United have a 1-stop flight from Los Angles (LAX) to Belize. There are also 1-stop multiple carriers from New York to Belize. This is subject to change so be sure to check with the airlines or your travel agent.

What are the customs requirements for getting in and out of Belize?

A valid passport for US, British and Canadian citizens is all that is required, no visa is necessary if you are from those countries. Belize requires citizens from the following countries to have an entry visa: China, Cuba, Columbia, South Africa, Taiwan, India, and Libya.

 

What are the Belize Cayes?

In Belize, a caye is an island. Coco Plum is a series of Belize Cayes. Coco Plum Caye, is commonly known in other parts of the world as Coco Plum Island. People in different parts of the world also spell Caye as Cay. You are Welcome to call us Coco Plum Island, Coco Plum Caye or Coco Plum Cay - whatever you like!
