Welcome

| |
The staff of the Rooty Hill RSL Club and
Aquatic Centre wish to welcome you to our
Centre and sincerely offer our assistance
in meeting your Fitness and Relaxation needs.
Should you have any questions, or wish further
assistance, please do not hesitate to ask
any staff member – we are here to assist
you.
Located near the Sherbooke Street entrance
to the club, the Fitness & Aquatic Centre
boats over 2400 members, testimony to its
popularity and great value to patrons.
Extensive refurbishments over the past few
years of the facilities, equipment and staff
training has established the Fitness &
Aquatic Centre as one of the industry leaders
in the Greater West. The fitness facilities
include all the latest state of art fitness
equipment to ensure you reach your exercise
goals quicker while the aquatic side of the
facility includes a 25m pool, spa & steam
room. The Fitness & Aquatic Centre can
cater for any age group and any fitness level.
The Fitness & Aquatic Centre is open Monday
to Friday from 5:30am to 9:30pm and Saturday
to Sunday from 8:00am to 6:30pm.

Facilities

We have, arguably, some of the best fitness
facilities in the greater west area, these
facilities include:
Swimming Pool
- To utilise the swimming pool you need
to be a member which encumbers this facility
or pay the required visitor rate.
- The swimming pool is available to members
and visitors at all times. (Some lane
restrictions apply when Learn To Swim
lessons and Aqua Aerobic classes are being
conducted – see Learn To Swim times).
- The swimming pool is fully climate
controlled, with the water temperature
maintained at between 26 and 27 degrees.
(Seasonal variations to temperature settings
will apply).
- For your safety and the safety of others,
appropriate swimwear is required to be
worn and safety rules are required to
be met (no nappies, nude swimming or non-swimwear).
Qualified staff are available to attend
to your needs. Should you require assistance,
please do not hesitate to approach our
staff.
Gymnasium 
- To utilise the gymnasium, you need to
be a member which encumbers this facility
or pay the required visitor rate.
- The gymnasium is available to members
at all times.
- The gymnasium is equipped with Life-Fitness
Cardio equipment and Star pin-loaded equipment.
- New members are required to partake
in a personal interview with a qualified
instructor to determine your individual
needs, your standard of health and ensure
correct usage of the equipment, prior
to partaking in an authorised, structured
program.
- For your safety and the safety of others,
appropriate footwear and clothing is required
to be worn. Towels are compulsory in the
gym.

- The gymnasium is staffed with highly
skilled personnel who are trained to assist
you with your fitness requirements.
- Televisions will operate, but will
be muted at all times. Sound may be obtained
by tuning in your walkman to the displayed
FM frequency.
Spa and Steam Room
- The spa and steam room are located
to the left hand side of the passageway
to the pool.
- To utilise these facilities you need
to be a member which encumbers these facilities
or pay the visitor rate and be 16yrs or
over.
- Please shower prior to utilising the
spa or steam room. For health reasons
we recommend a maximum of 15mins use of
each of these facilities.
- The steam room is designed to hold a
maximum of 12 people at any one time,
with the spa designed to hold a maximum
of 14 people at any one time.
- For hygiene purposes and for the comfort
or other patrons soaps, shampoos, conditioners,
shaving etc are not permitted in these
facilities.
- It is strongly advised that medical
clearance is sought prior to italicising
these facilities for people with health
problems such as high blood pressure,
cardiovascular problems, pregnancy etc.
Fitness Appointments 
- Personalised Fitness Programs are available
to gymnasium members. Our
- Qualified staff will tailor a program
to your individual needs. This is highly
recommended for beginners, members with
medical problems and the member wanting
constant improvements. Updates of programs
are encouraged every 6 to 8 weeks.
- Personalised Fitness Evaluations include
flexibility testing, strength testing,
fitness testing, skin folds and girth
testing ( test of body fat and muscle
size).
- We encourage members to partake in fitness
evaluations every six to eight weeks.
Aqua Aerobics
- To utilise the aqua aerobic classes,
you need to be a member which encumbers
this facility or pay the required visitor
rate. For your convenience, we have programmed
classes.
- For participants safety and comfort,
each aqua aerobic class has a limited
number of positions.
- For your safety and the safety of others,
appropriate clothing/swimwear must be
worn.

Learn
to Swim Program
|

The
Rooty Hill RSL Club Fitness and Aquatic Centre
provides a comprehensive Learn To Swim and
Squad Program for children through to mature
age adults. All staff are qualified instructors
who understand a student’s needs and
other personal requirements.
Classes are conducted every day of the week,
morning and afternoon. Please read the following
information on the program and services we
provide. Should you require further information

The focus of our Learn To Swim program is
to assist the student/adult by providing a
comprehensive program that will take the student
from a person who has never swum, to a proficient

General Information
- Classes are conducted 7 days a week,
morning and afternoon.
- Learn to Swim fees are based on a 10
week block.
- Learn to Swim blocks coincide with
the current school terms.
- Blocks last between 10 and 12 weeks.
- When enrolling for the Learn to Swim
program you are required to pay for the
block upfront.
- Holiday programs are also available
during normal school holiday times. Holiday
programs run for either 5 or 10 days.
Adult lessons are also available.
- Should you not be able to attend your
booked lesson please inform the centre.

method is available from reception.
