The history of Glock pistols is an interesting one.

In the early 1980's, the Austrian army was seeking a new standard issue pistol, one that would combine ease of use, light weight, accuracy and reliability. Even though Glock had been supplying the Austrian military with other equipment for decades, the company had never produced a pistol. Nonetheless, Glock was invited to bid on the contract.

The result was one of the most revolutionary pistols ever made: the Glock 17. Combinging the ease of use of a single-action revolver with the speed of a semi-auto, the Glock 17 quickly became a worldwide sensation.

Today Glock produces 28 different pistols to satisfy the needs of the military, law enforcement, competitive shooters, and those who want the most reliable pistol for self defense.
