GUIDED FISHING

The east slopes of southern Alberta's Rocky Mountains are renowned for their Blue Ribbon Trout waters and breathtaking scenery. Whether it be for Big Brown and Rainbow Trout on the famous Bow River, or feisty Cutthroat Trout high up in a spectacular alpine lake or stream, we can design a trip to accommodate your needs.

Darren Wright has been flyfishing for more than twenty years. He has flyfished all over North America but makes his home in Banff, where he feels the flyfishing is second to none. He and his guides will offer their experience to the keen adventurer who is ready to take the challenge of Southern Alberta's great Trout Fishery.

These flyfishing trips are suitable for all skill levels. If you are a beginner or expert, we can organize a memorable trip to accommodate you. All the equipment you will need is supplied from quality rods, reels, lines, and flies to waders and raingear. A picnic lunch and drinks are also provided.

Our guides will take the time to teach a beginner the basics of flyfishing, yet we also have the expertise to increase an expert's chances of hooking, landing and releasing more fish.
Choose between a "Walk & Wade" or a "Drift Boat" trip. The "Walk & Wade" trips take you to the best local spots with trips lasting from 4 - 6 hours. The "Drift Boat" trips offer access to approximately 8 - 15 km of river with the currents and guide doing all the work! With the exception of a short drive, you will spend 5 - 9 hours on the water.

The season starts in May with trips running into October. Dry flyfishing is at it's best through the months of July and August, however, as long as there are fish in the river, we will guide you to them!

"Darren's knowledge of the local waters and their fish
have made him a first class guide. He organizes his trips well
and is honest about what one can expect on any given day..."
