Get To Know Us!

Owners: Nate Fenderson, Ryan Brown, Chris Cobbett

Let me take a minute to introduce you to the team and tell you a little about our Northwoods Outdoors TV show and “Seasons of Success” video series. Two years ago Nate Fenderson and I (Chris Cobbett) began with a dream. We were watching all sorts of hunting videos and thought “we can do that.” No one in this part country was filming and there were few production crews seeking hunts in the Northeast. In 2002, we began seeking sponsors and buying production equipment. Our first attempts were gritty at best and we received our film education through the school of hard knocks.

The following year we added several team members and quality videographers. Ryan Brown, Scott Davis, Rick Seavey, Al Grant, and Moe Hart joined the team and we began to grow. We picked up several major sponsors ( Muzzy, and MDM muzzle loaders). These were the first companies that showed faith and believed we could do what we said we could.

We acquired Producer Ryan T. Brown to design the new "Northwoods Outdoors" TV-show. He brings 10 years of Hollywood and Fortune-500 corporate film and video production prowess to the team. He is also a Maine, Key West and Alaska Guide with a USCG captain's license and vast experience in the sport of fly-fishing rivers and the salt. Ryan will be bringing us exciting tv segments in both fishing and hunting.

Letter from the Producer

NORTHWOODS OUTDOORS-TV is a thirty-minute fishing and hunting television program, bringing twenty-six episodes of outdoor adventure to the living rooms of audiences across the nation, reaching 25 million homes and growing.

Northwoods Outdoors pro-staff are experienced fishing/hunting guides who travel to North America’s premiere lodges and destinations in search of riveting footage of wild fish and game. Northwoods Outdoors does not employ actors or stars to bolster sales and create a veneer of so-called professionalism, rather, the show provides, “Real Adventure for Real People!”, as the motto states and the aesthetic principles purvey in the visual experience of fishing and hunting with our guides in the great outdoors.

A unique aspect of Northwoods Outdoors is the inclusion of both fishing and hunting segments; fly-fishing, spin-fishing, baitcasting, trolling, ice-fishing, saltwater-fishing, archery, muzzleloading, shotgun and rifle. Sport-fishing species include a wide array of fresh and saltwater quarry, including: Atlantic Salmon, steelhead, Chinook, coho, brook trout, rainbows, browns, bass, pike, stripers, blue-fish, tarpon, tuna, and mako and blue sharks. Hunting highlights have included whitetail deer in Maine and Saskatchewan, the record Maine moose with a bow, black bear in New Brunswick and Quebec, wild-boar in South Carolina, and wild turkey and sea-ducks along the East Coast. Northwoods Outdoors also features a Tech-Tip that teaches technique and technical information.

As producer and fly-fishing pro-staff, I strive to produce an exhilarating experience for the viewer with an aesthetically pleasing visual design. The first season features pure pro-staff cinematography without the aid of professional camera operators! I think you will find the quality commensurate in quality to some higher-budget programs utilizing a full crew.

Thank you, for time, consideration and inquiry. Northwoods Outdoors is committed to providing audiences, advertisers and broadcasters the finest in outdoor television adventure. The production and sales team invite you to explore, “A partnership in Adventure”, with Northwoods Outdoors.

Regards, Producer, Ryan T. Brown
