According to the northwest council of government's demographic reports, Summit County is on of the top 10 fastest growing counties in the state. The trend is expected to continue with Summit County expected to be among the fasted growing communities in the nation. Between 1990 and 2000 the country increased its residents by 59%. During the peak tourist seasons, the population can swell to over 100,000. |

The demand for vacation homes in Summit County has helped to provide economic growth; it is also the driving factor for the increase in property value. In 1990, residents in Summit County top out about 12,881. Ten years later that number nearly doubled to 24,537 through out the county. The majority of the individuals who live in this area are between the ages of 30 and 45 with the highest amount of people between the ages of 25 - 59. |
