- • How can we get listed on
your site?
- -Please take a look at our
advertising page for more information
on how to get listed on TackleThief.com.
-
- • Is it safe to shop online?
- -Security concerns about shopping online
are a thing of the past. Advances in encryption and secure server
technologies have made online shopping safe and enjoyable for
all types of consumers. If you're still worried, make sure that
you're using a current browser (like IE 6.0).
• Don't shipping costs negate any amount saved
by shopping online?
- -Not really. You'll be surprised by the number
of places that offer free shipping. Even if you do have to pay
for shipping, you usually don't have to pay taxes on an online
purchase. So you end up paying less extra money for shipping
than you would have on taxes.
• Want to know how that tackle will feel in your
hands before buying it?
- -We do too! That's why we usually go to a
retailer that carries the item that we want so we can check
it out. Prepare to be shocked by their prices though. Very few
retailers will offer you a deal as good as ones found on our
site. Another option is to order an item, then return it if
you don't like it. Most retailers will cover the return shipping
costs (sometimes you have to ask). The only issue is that you
have to repackage (use the original container for convenience)
and ship it out (have fedex or UPS pick it up at your house
or office).
-
- • Do you know of any deals
on ____________?
- -Check out our forums.
There is a great group of tackle thieves on the message boards
that love to hunt for a good tackle bargain. Put up a request
on the deal forum and they'll look around for you.

- • How do I buy things on e-bay?
- -First you have to register
here for free. Then you search for your desired product.
When you see something that you like, put the highest amount
that you're willing to pay for it in the "Your maximum
bid" box. Don't worry. You're not bidding that amount right
away. Instead, ebay will automatically place the lowest winning
bid on your behalf. For example, if the current highest bid
is $39, and your maximum bid is $100, ebay will only bid enough
so that you will now have the highest bid (such as $39.50 for
our example). The best part is yet to come. Now if someone else
tries to beat your bid and bids $41, ebay will automatically
bid another minimum winning bid (like $41.50) on your behalf.
Therefore, you can be rest assured that you're going to be winning
the auction as long as the bids don't go over your maximum bid.
It's as easy as that. Try it out and see for yourself.
