Before purchasing a high definition television, consider the following:
- How many HDTV stations are available in your geographical area?
- Do you require a HDTV or a HDTV Ready television? (i.e. Will
you be subscribing to cable or satellite service?)
- If you require a HDTV set-top receiver, how much does one cost to
buy or rent?
- How big a TV to you want? (i.e. Is your available space sufficient)
- How much money are you prepared to spend? What HDTV
technologies are available for your budget?
- How much does a subscription to HDTV cable or satellite services
cost?
- How much money will delivery and set-up cost?
- Will you spend too much time watching television?
