There are a number of HDTV technologies competing in the market place and consequently the cost of HDTV technologies are rapidly falling.  This portion of our website identifies these technologies and summarizes the pros and cons of each one.  The technology that is best for you depends on your unique requirements:  your viewing patterns,  the available space for a TV,  the expected viewing angle and of course, your budget.

CRT Televisions

High Definition CRT Televisions use the same tried and true technology that has been used in standard analog televisions for years.

Projection Televisions

High Definition Projection Televisions combines CRT technology and projection to generate big-screen images.

Plasma Televisions

High Definition Plasma Televisions generate a bright sharp picture on large screens but are relatively costly.

LCD Televisions

High Definition LCD Televisions are thin and light and can be wall mounted. They are relatively small however.

DLP Televisions

High Definition DLP Televisions produce a great picture and are less expensive than Plasma and LCD Televisions.
