Hello! I SOOO wish I had seen this website before booking a day of fishing on the Kenai. We got a guide who was 2 hours late and then very rude to us all day. For the amount of money we paid, I was shocked. We are all competent anglers and this guide was bizarre! We used Gwin's and didn't realize they were outsourcing us. LESSON LEARNED...! Others, be smart and use this site!

I am an american living in norway. I have been in contact with joe connors, whom i met at his outfit a few years ago while fishing with my son. I am looking for seasonal employment in the area as a camp manager,etc. have many years in the travel industry, am an experienced, prof carpenter, and a general all around experienced individual. Originally from Tacoma, have been in norway for 20 years, and need a little time back in the old country.

Been dreaming for a very long time to fish in Alaska and looks like finally will be able to do it this summer. However, options are overwhelming! I have made my mind to find a place in the Kenai peninsula area. Will be traveling with my wife and my 2yr old son so I want a family-athmosphere lodging option. I will be the only one fishing (do you think finding a guide for a single fisherman would be a problem?). Our whole trip will be 14 days but only 3-4 will be devoted to fishing. Definitively I do not want to fish in crowded places (are fly-outs as the only option to avoid crowds?). I am a wildlife biologist myself so I do really want to experience the real Alaska. Any suggestions and ideas are welcome. Thanks and congrats on your website.

Hello from New Hampshire and congratulations on a great website. It has really helped us in planning our fishing trip to AK this year. Here's a suggestion for generating needed revenue for your catch-and-release program for King Salmon. Consider selling hats and tee shirts with the Hug A Hog name and logo depicted on the driftboat being donated by Willie Boats. Stuff like this really sells....Dave

I have a family of 5 (wife and 3 girls: 13,15,17 yrs of age) and we are planning a trip to Alaska for fishing, siteseeing, and what ever else we can do. We have never been to Alaska, but we have only heard about how great Alaska is. I am an experienced fisherman but my wife and girls are not. I would love for all of us to catch Salmon, halibut, sea bass, red snapper, etc. Could you please send me ideas and information that would accommendate my needs. example: where to stay and cost. Our trip will be about 8-10 days long but only fish for 2-3 days. I am open to all ideas
