Fine Quality Limited Edition Artwork from Crazy Crow
Originally published by the artist in the 1840s in Europe, these are the finest quality reproductions of the originals that we have ever seen. Printed on the very finest, heavy museum quality paper, and even capturing the age stains, and pencil signatures of th original prints, which sell for hundreds of dollars today.
They make magnificent framed pictures, that invoke classic memories of the earliest white contact with the Indians of the Upper Missouri River region. Mato-tope was a Mandan chief, who was one of Bodmer's favorite subjects, and is pictured in two different outfits and poses. The other print is of two Mandan men, depicted in all of their finery.
This edition is limited to 200 of each print, with only 100 being available in the US, so we feel very fortunate to be able to offer them at this time.
