River, the most versatile river adventure we offer. The Nantahala
River flows through the verdant Nantahala Gorge, near Bryson City
NC, with lush vegetation draped over the river's bank, meandering
through rapids ranging from Class I to III, scattered along the length
of the river.
Half-day trip available is the Nantahala
Classic.
For a full day adventure, you may choose the Raft
n' Rail®. This option adds the relaxation of an open-air rail
car trip through the countryside and up the Nantahala Gorge, along
the riverbank to the top of the river, where we will transport you
to the put-in for your river trip.
The truly adventurous may rent
your own raft or inflatable kayak and brave the whitewater of the
Nantahala on your own. You may provide your own shuttle or we can
provide shuttle. We will drive you to the put-in and pick you up at
the take-out.
For large groups, such as family reunions, we offer our Whitewater
Olympiad, an on-river competition, which will be custom designed by
our Olympiad coordinator, Jeff Greiner and his staff. For more information
on the Olympiad, please contact Jeff at, (828) 687-1411.

Upper Ocoee, more scenic, with large rapids in the Olympic Course,
designed for the 1996 Olympics. The Ocoee is the only Olympic whitewater
in the United States.
For a full day option, including lunch, tackle the Upper and Middle

Age 13 and up:
At 13, the grandest adventures we offer, become available. The Chattooga
River Section IV and Overnighter
encompass some of the most beautiful scenery and biggest whitewater
available in the southeast. Section
IV is dotted with scenic waterfalls and Class IV-V rapids, as
well as the crown jewel - the Five Falls. The Five Falls are five
Class IV-V rapids, near the end of the river, in a ¼ mile stretch
- everyone's favorite stretch of the Chattooga
River.
The Overnighter
is a two-day trip, rafting both Section
III and Section
IV . The trip begins on Section III. After a day of rafting this
calmer, scenic section, the trip camps in the river corridor, having
a steak dinner at the campfire. The next morning, after a hot breakfast,
its time to brave Section IV, followed by a leisurely lake tow, two
miles across Lake Tugaloo to the Section IV take-out.
