International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT)
ISHLT was created in 1981 starting with 15 cardiologists and cardiac
surgeons. Now they have over 1800 members from over 45 countries,
representing over 10 different disciplines involved in the management
and treatment of end-stage heart and lung disease
International Transplant Coordinators Society
The ITCS was formed in order to create a structure that could respond
to transplant coordination issues at international meetings, a structure
similar to what the Transplantation Society provides for physicians,
surgeons, immunologists and other related specialities.
National Transplant Society
(United States) Describes the mission of NTS; lists staff, chapter
offices; provides registry information and links to helpful agencies;
answers FAQs for patients, donors, and health professionals.
United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
UNOS
administers the national Organ Procurement and
Transplantation Network (OPTN) and the U.S. Scientific
Registry on Organ Transplantation under contracts with the
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
