It is situated in beautiful Saltsjoebaden in Stockholm's archipelago, just 20 minutes from the city of Stockholm by car. Alternatively, the 20 minute train ride from Slussen takes you through spectacular residential areas and magnificent scenery, arriving at the seaside in Saltsjoebaden.
The hotel has a rich history, beginning with a splendid inauguration hosted by King Oscar II in 1893. KA Wallenburg was the visionary who turned his dream into a reality after a trip to Monte Carlo. Saltsjoebaden was to become the perfect recreational site for a modern society, an oasis to return to in summer, winter, spring or autumn. The railway from Stockholm was also built at that time to provide hardworking Stockholm residents with a fast route to the seaside and the fresh salty air of Saltsjoebaden.
