anodized, Spinfisher®
Z spools resist corrosion and stand up to the elements. Penn's largest
Spinfisher®
Z model, the 706Z, features specialized drain holes in the rotor, a manual line
pickup and three ball bearings, making it ideal for surf fishing applications.Nerves of Steel.

mind when designing the Spinfisher®
Z reels. A stainless steel main shaft, supported by bronze bushings, extends all
the way from the spool to the drag knob for superior strength and rigidity.
Sealed stainless steel ball bearing action also helps ensure smooth retrieves

All main and pinion gears in the Z series are machined from the highest grade
metals to withstand punishment that would tear up ordinary reels.
• SMOOTH, DEPENDABLE DRAG SYSTEM: Large friction
washers in Penn's up front Power Drag dissipate heat fast and combine with the
stainless steel metal washers for the smoothest, most durable drag system on the
market. Easy to service, too!
• STAINLESS STEEL BALL BEARING:
One high-quality, shielded, stainless steel ball bearing in the Spinfisher Z.
Unlike gimmicky unshielded, bearings that clog with contaminants and salt
buildup, Penn's high-grade stainless steel ball bearings were designed for
performance in a marine environment. Just remember, high-grade Stainless is
better than coated, non-shielded bearings.

Machined, polished solid stainless steel mainshaft holds up to the pressure of
any game fish.
• LINE ROLLERS:
Stainless steel, hard chrome plated, with bushing underneath to ensure constant
