Keeping detailed records lets us know when and where to find fish.

For years anglers seeking great Alaska halibut fishing charters were convinced that to find good
fishing meant taking the long drive to Homer Alaska. Long overshadowed by the much larger Homer
halibut fishing charter fleet, Seward, Alaska is now coming into its own as the premier destination for
Alaska halibut fishing charters on the Kenai Peninsula. Seward's closer proximity to Anchorage, its beautiful
setting with diverse populations of marine wildlife, and of course, loads and loads of big halibut
have recently given Seward justified exposure as the new favorite Alaska halibut fishing charter destination.
Anglers familiar with halibut fishing in Homer, Ninilchik, and Cook Inlet know all too well the
reality of Alaska halibut fishing. That is, being at the mercy of raging tides, with 4 or even 5 pounds of weight attached
to the end of their line. This is not the case in Seward. Because Seward has roughly a third of the
tidal fluctuation of these areas, in Seward, we are able to fish for halibut with much lighter weight
and fish throughout the entire tide cycle. When possible, we try to target halibut in relatively
shallow water and use the lightest weight possible to reach the bottom (rarely more than 2 pounds).
This puts the "sport" back in halibut sport fishing and allows you to fight the fish, not the
fishing tackle.

Experience a fantastic Alaska salmon fishing charter with the seasoned crew of the M/V
ProFish-n-Sea in Seward, Alaska. Seward is world-renowned for having one of the largest
runs of silver salmon is the state. Alaska Silver Salmon fishing in Seward is the highlight
for many anglers.
In late June large schools of bright Coho "Silver" Salmon return to the waters around Seward
in search of their breeding grounds in inland lakes and streams. Prior to entering the rivers
along the coast, these fish gorge themselves on massive schools of tiny baitfish, often gaining
two to three pounds or more in the last months of their lives. This is a winning situation for
anglers of all skill levels who find that the limit of up to six silver salmon per day can
provide action unparalleled by any other fishing trip in Alaska.
