Membership

Membership in the Mambo Foundation is open to anyone who has an interest in this Open Source technology and wishes to contribute in some manner to the community. While our membership process is not overly formal - we are not 'exclusive' - we do ask that all members contribute in some manner to the community. We also feel very strongly that members have an obligation to stay informed and to be aware of issues of concern to Mambo, the Foundation, and the membership at large.

The Mambo Foundation is controlled by the members. The members elect the Board, the members raise the issues and the referendums that shape the Foundation's efforts. It is accurate to say that the Foundation mirrors the members' wishes and that the Foundation is what the members make of it. In light of those facts, an informed membership is absolutely necessary to keep the project on track, that is, moving forward in a manner which serves the interest of the community as a whole.

If you are willing to make the commitment of effort that it takes to become informed, stay informed and participate in the community, then please, read on and join us.

The first step to join the Mambo Foundation is determining what level of membership is appropriate for you or your organization. There are four categories of membership:

  • Active Members are individuals that are approved for positions of responsibility in the Mambo Foundation.
