Virtual Reality Theater Systems

"Thin Profile" Tower Main Speakers

All 1998 VR Theatre speakers utilize exotic midrange diaphragms of woven glass or carbon fiber threads to optimize vocal clarity. In addition, the Global Axis Integration design enables a wide dispersion radiation pattern to "illuminate" the entire listening area, eliminating the small "sweet spot" troubling competing designs.

Side firing woofers offer system simplification and maximum use of floor space. A separate subwoofer is not necessary in most small rooms due to the high efficiency of the bass drivers and the tremendous bass impact generated by the vented transmission line design.

The cloth wrap styling with solid hardwood endcaps complement any decor, with choice of black, off- white, or desert sand fabric color. Hardwood endcaps in dark red or natural cherry, natural or black lacquer oak are standard. Efficiency and bass response have been optimized for use with receivers as well as quality separate components. Virtual Reality Theatre systems are the choice for both music and film.

Rear / Side Surround Speakers

All VR Theatre surrounds are optimized for use with conventional Dolby Prologic as well as Dolby Digital, DTS and other 5.1 discrete sources as well as ambience retrieval systems. While the TS-110 is strictly a dipolar design for maximum ambience generation, the TS-210 and TS-310 are switchable to operate as either Dipoles or direct radiating Tripoles. This enables enhancement of either monaural diffusion (Dolby Prologic) or stereo localization (5.1 discrete formats). This flexibility of switchable radiation patterns is proprietary and ensures future system format compatibility.

Solid hardwood endcaps are available in dark red cherry, natural cherry, natural oak, black or white laquer oak or white-washed oak. Grill colors are black, off-white, or desert sand.

Center Surround Speakers

Arguably, the single most important speaker in a home theater system, Virtual Reality Center channels are the most flexible and dynamic on the market. Featuring our exclusive vocal presence dial, the LCR-21 and LCR-31 allow more control over the sound quality of music and film recordings. As befits our top of the line center channel, the LCR-31 incorporates both time alignment and three-way sound reproduction. Designed to be used either as a center channel with floor standing mains or as a Left, Center, Right array system, the Virtual Reality LCR's fit into any lifestyle.

Solid hardwood endcaps are available in dark red cherry, natural cherry, natural oak, and black laquer oak. Grill colors are black, off-white, or desert sand.

Subwoofer

Co-designed by Albert Von Schweikert and Bob Carver of Sunfire, the Tower of Power delivers sub-sonic bass with fast transient response from dual 10" woofers in a narrow footprint cabinet that will easily fit into any home.

Solid hardwood endcaps are available in dark red cherry, natural cherry, natural oak, and black laquer oak. Grill colors are black, off-white, or desert sand.
