For existing pools, the vinyl pool cover is installed using one of two methods; snap-down anchors or track. For snap-down anchor installations, the cover is attached to the deck using a small snap-down anchor. Automatic or semiautomatic covers require that two parallel tracks be installed for the cover to slide through.
