Bridal Shower Game Bag On My Head
First, the hostess passes out brown grocery bags to every guest. As soon as the guest gets the bag, they cannot speak. The hostess then tells the guests that the have to put the bag on their heads and cannot take it off until she says. Then the hostess will tell everyone to take off something they don't need. (i.e. watch, necklace, etc.) But they're really supposed to take the bag off!! The last person to realize that it's the bag that she doesn't need, wins the prize. more Bridal Shower Games

Bridal Shower Game They're Playing Our Song
As each guest comes in, get them to write down the song from the first dance at their wedding and their name. If the person is not married, they can write down "the song" from their current relationship or can just pick their favorite love song. It's OK if people have the same song. Later, the hostess will read each song one by one and the guests will write down who they think that song matches up with. Make sure everyone is given a chance to think and analyze a bit before moving on to the next song. After all the songs have been read, the hostess will read the songs again and reveal who it belongs to. Guests get 1 point for each correct answer and 3 points is they guess the wedding song of the bride. The person with the most points wins. Bridal Shower Game Blindfold Nylon Game
Have the guest sit in a circle so everyone can see each other. Choose a guest to start with and have her put on dish washing gloves. Blindfold her and then give her nylons. Give her 1 minute to put the nylons on. The person who gets the closest to getting the nylons all the way on wins the prize. This is the funniest game I have ever played at a shower. It is much harder then you would think!

After one or two games have been played, the bride casually leaves the room - telling no-one. The hostess then announces that the next game is "and the bride wore..." Take out your pre-made list of 10 questions about how the bride looked. Examples: Was her hair up or down? What color were her shoes? Was she wearing a bracelet? Bridal Shower Game Timer Goes Off
This is a cute way to hand out door prizes to the guests attending the bridal shower. While the bride-to-be is opening her gifts, set a timer to go off for an undisclosed amount of time. Whenever the timer goes off, whoever's gift the bride is opening at that time receives the door prize. Continue setting the timer for different amounts of time each time you set it. Watch everyone get really excited each time the bride starts opening their gift!

had a friend of mine, whom the bride didn't know come with her daughter.  They walked in (nobody knew her) and put her gift on the table then sat down.  The bride-to-be's Mom (who is my sister) started talking to her trying to find out who she was.  Then everybody was kind of asking her who she was related to, etc.  I just sat back and acted like I didn't know who she was and not saying much, because I didn't want to laugh.  Well, we went around the room and everybody said who they were and who they were related to, such as cousin to the bride, aunt of the groom, etc.  When it came to my friend, she said, "You know, I think I'm at the wrong shower"  She acted like she was all flustered, went to stand up and dumped her purse all over the floor.  Of course everybody tried to help her and we all felt terrible and embarrassed for her.  So I helped her to the door and thanked her and walked back into the room where everybody was talking and whispering.  I said, "OK, that was my friend Charlene, and it was all staged.  Everybody write down what she had dumped out in her purse".  She had duct tape, a beanie baby, lots of weird stuff.  We are still laughing about  more Bridal Shower Games

Bridal Shower Game Recipes for the Bride
When sending out the shower invitations, include a recipe card in each invitation. Ask the guest to write their favorite recipe and bring it to the shower. When each guest arrives, ask for the recipe and place it in a box, bag or basket. Throughout the shower, have the bride reach in and grab a recipe card. Whosever card is picked receives a door prize. It's a great way to get the bride started in the kitchen!!!

The bride will make several noises such as snapping her fingers, tap dancing, letting the air out of a balloon, popping a piece of bubble wrap, drumming pots, or any strange noise...as quickly as she can. The guest can give their answers one at a time. The guest who identifies the most sounds wins the prize. get a piece of paper and a pen and have everyone write the name of the bride and groom down the edge of the paper. You then give everyone 3 minutes to write down things that have to do with a wedding that start with the letters in the names. When the timer is done then have everyone compare answers, if someone has the same answer then it doesn't count. So after everyone has read their answers then who ever has the most wins!

Bridal Shower Game Hot Potato
All the guests sat around in a circle. A box was handed to me and we were told to pass the box around until the music stopped. Whoever possessed the box when the music stopped, had to wear the contents of the box. I did not want to be the bearer of the box because I feared it was a shower cap! But, at the end I was the one who had possession when the music stopped (coincidence? I think not...) and it turned out to be a wonderful floral corsage. Bridal Shower Game Marshmallow Wo(Men)
Jot down first and last names of about 20 actors and actresses. You will need a several bags of large marshmallows. Each person will get a chance. The player will be given the list of names, they will have to say a name the bride must be able to understand each name that is said. After each name that is called the player must insert a marshmallow and keep calling names from the list. The person that gets all the names called off understood wins. This was played at a shower, one girl had 17 marshmallows in her mouth. You can imagine how much fun we all had!

This game coincided with me opening up my gifts. Little did I know that one of my bridesmaids was desperately writing my verbal reactions to my lingerie gifts. After I opened up all my gifts, my bridesmaid read all my verbal reactions and said that this is what I will be saying on my wedding night! It was hilarious! Bridal Shower Game Kiss ___'s Ass
On the wall we had a blown up , photocopied picture of my sister's face and below was a sketched in picture of the rest of her body. On her rear end, there was a little red heart. Everyone took a turn being blindfolded, wearing a special lipstick (in the shape of a male's body part). Whoever kissed closest to the little heart on her rear-end won. It was a lot of fun and kept all of us laughing!

Bridal Shower Game What's in the Sock?
Purchase 4-5 pairs of white athletic socks. Gather the same number (8 - 10) of items that the bride and groom will need on their honeymoon. Hotel key, sun block, condoms, corkscrew, etc. If the bride & groom are going to an exotic location, some of the items can pertain to the location. Just be sure to tell the guest where they are going. Place one item in each sock, tie it closed and pin a number on it. Guests must feel each sock and try to determine what is in it, then write down their guess. Oh, one last thing - no one can use their hands to feel the socks - only their feet. Bridal Shower Game Newspaper Bridal Dress
We had the guests make a bridal dress from newspaper. The shower guests were divided into teams. Each team was given scissors, tape, and a stack of newspapers. They were to make just one part of the wedding gown: sleeve, bodice, train, skirt, veil, shoes, etc. If your shower is small, concentrate on the main parts of the dress. If it is a large shower, your Stories will be larger and you can make assignments accordingly. The bride then must wear the gown over her clothing and pose for a picture (include a Polaroid picture for her). We have played this game at two different showers. It amazes me how creative some people can be.

Have a piece of paper and writing utensil. Put the paper on the floor. Instruct each guest that they are to bend over, without bending their legs, and trace their handprint on the paper. Have someone recording what each guest says while attempting to do this. Once completed, announce "This is what "bride's name" is going to say on her wedding night." Then read what each person said. Examples include:
There's no way I can do that!
OW! That hurts!
Am I doing this right?
I can't reach that far!
This is a really funny activity and the bride can keep the sayings to remember!

The hostess sets out a bunch of ingredients and baking materials on a table: flour, sugar, bowls, cake pan, etc. The bride is to then cook her own wedding cake without a recipe! A family member did this for me at my shower, and it was so much fun. She went to members of my extended family, specifically the MEN and the CHILDREN and asked them to complete this sentence: "Marriage is......" She compiled all the responses and gave them to me as a scroll tied with a ribbon. I had to read the responses and who said them. I laughed so hard at the responses I was crying!!

Here is a game or door prize that is kind of neat and is handy for the bride. Either you buy or have the bride buy the thank you notes prior to the shower and then take the envelopes out and after everyone has been introduced and before the action starts have all guests address the envelope to themselves and put them into a container, have the bride draw one and then that is the door prize person. Bridal Shower Game Spice World
My cousin took 10 or more different spices and covered them so no one knew what they were. She than numbered each one (before the party). She then passed them around. Every one had to guess what spice it was. Later she took the covers off and called out the number along with the correct name of the spice. At the end I got to keep all the spices. Which was great because the only spice I had was garlic salt. We made fun of my fiancé's family because they where hogging all the spices and not passing them around. We called them the Spice girls!!! We still refer to them as the spice girls.

Bridal Shower Game Wedding Quilt
A rather fun and memorable craft to do at your shower is a wedding quilt. I had each guest design one square reflecting the theme of love at the wedding shower using ribbon, fabric glue, buttons etc. When each person finished I had them sign the square. Later, before the wedding, I made the squares into a quilt using the wedding colors in the bordering fabric. I presented the quilt to the couple on their wedding day as a gift from all who attended the shower. The quilt does not have to be a piece of art if you are not a seamstress, I certainly was not! Bridal Shower Game The White Stuff
Fill zip lock bags with the following items: flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, powdered sugar, cornstarch, cream of tartar, powdered milk, unflavored gelatin, Bisquick. Number each bag and keep a list. Guests are allowed to feel and look at the bag, but not open it. They guess what is in each bag. The person with the most answers gets the prize.

Bridal Shower Game I'm Ready Honey
You will need 2 groups with 4 members each, a set of lingerie (bra, panty, night gown and slippers), and 2 poles or chairs where the players will walk around. The first player will wear the lingerie (over her own clothes, of course). As she walks (not runs) around the pole/chair she removes the lingerie and "tags" the next player and so on and so forth. Bridal Shower Game Cooking Practice
My favorite shower game is to set up a table with all the ingredients for baking a cake (flour, sugar, eggs, etc.) plus a few "extra ingredients like spices, vinegar, baking soda, just about anything. I also supply a mixing bowl, measuring cups/spoons and a pan. The bride is than told she must make a cake, from scratch, from memory. She must tell what her measurements are and how long to bake and at what temp. Do this at the beginning so the cake will be done baking when she is finished opening gifts. It is then taken out of the oven for her to taste test. One friend of mine left the cake in the oven so long we couldn't get it out of the pan. We also give all the ingredients to the bride to stock her kitchen with.

Bridal Shower Game Roll the Orange
You need a pair of pantyhose and 2 oranges. Put one orange on the floor and the other in one leg of the pantyhose. Tie the other leg (of the pantyhose) around your waist. The object is for you to swing your hips and hit the orange (that you placed on the floor) across a designated area in the best time. Bridal Shower Game Oh Where, Oh Where is My...
get a large bowl and dump 2 pounds of uncooked white rice in it. Then you add about 15 to 20 paper clips and mix it well. Place the bowl on a table and blind fold the person that's going to play. The person who finds the most paper clips wins. It's a lot harder than you think it is, and it's also a lot of fun to watch how close people get to grabbing the clips.

Cut out 12 - 15 pictures of grocery/cleaning/drug items out of a grocery sale paper or magazine. Paste them onto index cards and take a black marker to mark through the brand name. Then number the cards. Pass numbered sheets of paper out to each guest and then pass the cards around the room, letting everyone look at the brand and write down the brand name. Bridal Shower Game What is in the Box?
First get a matchbox, which held wooden matches. Fill it with everyday things such as a tic tac, paper clip, staple, thread, dental floss, tack, etc. Then at the shower as you hold the box up in front of the group, tell them how many things are in it. The object of the game is for everyone to write down what they think is in the box when given 5 minutes. The person with the most correct wins.

The participant kneels on the floor. She is then given a large plastic bowl and soup spoon. Cotton balls are then spread on the flour in front of her and she is blindfolded and asked to put on oven mitts. Take 20-25 baby items (or as many as you want) and make a list. Be very specific. List brand names and sizes and have your guests fill in prices next to each item. Then have them total their lists. The guest who's list is closest to the correct total wins.

A great way to help the Bride to be out, is to have a stack of envelopes on a table when everyone comes in. You tell each person to self address the envelope and place it in the bowl. You tell the guests that at the end of the party an envelope will be drawn and the winner will receive a prize. This gets everyone to address and envelope, which the Bride will take home to send thank you cards out in. You have two columns on a piece of paper. On the left side you list the names of famous/well-known males and on the right side you list the name of their famous/well-known female counterparts. For example; Fred and Wilma Flintstone, Gomez and Mortisha Adams, Ward and June Cleaver, Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Adam and Eve, etc. The left side has a line in front of the males first name, and the right side has a letter (A., B., C., etc.) in front of the females first name. The object is to match all of the males and females.

A fun, quick shower game is to have everyone get their purses out. Give them the name of an item they may have in their purse and give a prize to the first person to pull the item out of their purse. You can start with common things like a nail file or a hairbrush, but it starts to get crazy when you start asking for things like buttons, bobby pins, toothpicks, sewing kits, you name it!!! Bridal Shower Game Dressing In the Dark
The shower sponsor's had packed a suitcase and the instructions were: You're on your honeymoon and the power goes out. You need to dress without any lights. (they then blindfolded her) You have to put on everything in the suitcase by touch and everything you have in there you might need to wear. The suitcase had things like: XXL boxer shorts (she put these on backwards), a Hawaiian shirt, a pair of huge fuzzy animal slippers, one of those big straw Mexican hats, a pair of glasses with the eyeballs falling out, fuchsia striped socks with a separate space for each toe (she thought these were gloves), a Depends undergarment, a yellow rain jacket, etc. By the time she was done we were rolling with laughter. And of course, we all said it looked like she had put on her clothes in the dark before.....and we all have plenty of pictures and video to blackmail her with later on.

A fun little shower game that I had everyone play at my sister's bridal shower was a cute commercial game. I read a list commercial slogans and the group was to guess which commercial the slogan went to. For example "Have it your way -- Burger King" or "Just Do It--Nike". Whoever answered the most correctly won, it also showed who watched the most TV.

For the first little while, have the bride mingling with the guests. Then ask her to leave the room. Once she is gone, the game starts. Each guest needs a paper and pen/pencil. I am cutting out large photos of celebrity couples and putting them on a decorated poster board. I'll have their heads and bodies covered. When the game starts, you reveal the bodies only & see who can guess the couple, then, when someone gets it correct, you uncover their faces. The person who guesses the most correctly wins.

The best shower game we played at my showers required a scale. The scale was placed in the center of the floor and everyone had to weigh their purses. It was great!!! I can not believe how heavy some of those purses were. Who needs to work out?!?

Have all the prizes for games wrapped in different color paper. Do not let anyone open their gift. Have the winners (of the prize gifts) sit in a circle with the bride. Then have the bride choose if anyone is going to switch gifts based on the color of paper that she feels best suites them and why it suites them. (Example: The blue matches your eyes. OR The red matches your shirt. OR The yellow is bright and happy like you). This allows the bride to share kind words. You can also , after everyone has their gift (before opening) say something to the bride as to how the color they have goes with her. (Yellow because I know you will brighten "the groom's" day. Bridal Shower Game How Long is Your Carrot?
Pick a long carrot and each person has to pass it to the person beside them...between their knees!! Every time someone drops it you have to cut off about an inch. And when the carrot is so small that you can't pass it anymore the person who has the carrot at the end without dropping it wins. It is hilarious, we were all in tears laughing at each other.

Bridal Shower Game Jell-O
If your crowd is made up of drinkers. We made our bride to be chase an alarm clock. You need a wind up alarm clock, set it so it will go off and hide it. Our rule was that if she didn't find the alarm clock before it finished ringing then she had to do a shooter. We made Jell-O shooters in advance so that she couldn't avoid doing them. You can only do it every half hour or so otherwise they get too drunk and it spoils it.

Bridal Shower Game Fantasy Game
Get 2 bags and cut some small pieces of paper. Write the name of a famous male celebrity (entertainer, athlete, politician, etc.) on each piece of paper, fold up, and put into one bag. Using the same amount of paper, write a question or make a comment, such as "describe his kissing technique" or "what kind of first date would he take you on" or "what would your response be if he asked you to father his children." Fold these questions and comments and put into the second bag. Now, get your group together in a circle. Pass the first bag to the first guest, have them draw a slip of paper from the first bag, and the person sitting directly across from them draw a slip from the second bag. The first guest must answer the question with the celebrity she picked. For example, if your 1st guest drew Tom Cruise's name, and the person across from her drew, "describe his kissing technique," she would have to answer in the most imaginable way possible. Bridal Shower Game Wisdom
All the guests stood in a circle with an unlit candle. We lighted the bride's candle first. As she stands in front of each guest they give her "Words of Wisdom" it could be pertaining to her personally or a recipe for a good marriage. This is a very sentimental moment. Once the guest is finished with their comment the bride lights their candle and proceeds to the next guest. When all guests have given their "Words of Wisdom" the bride is presented with a guest book with the words written down for each person. The guest book also serves as memorabilia, she may even include friends that were unable to attend the bridal shower.

Bridal Shower Game What My Word?
Before the shower, make a list of wedding-related words (gown, honeymoon, love, groom's name, etc.). Write these words on nametags, and as guests arrive at the shower, give each a nametag. The guest is not allowed to say the word on their nametag. If someone hears her say the word, that person takes the sticker. At the end of the shower, the person with the most stickers wins a prize. This game never ceases to amaze me -- inevitably the quietest, shyest guest will race across the room in pursuit of someone else's sticker.

Bridal Shower Game Social Threads
Pass out a spool of thread and tell each guest to break off as much thread as they think they will need. They will ask what it is for but just tell them not to take too much but to be sure to get enough. It is funny to see some break off a long piece and some just take a very short piece. When everyone has their thread each person must tell about themselves as they wrap the string around their finger not stopping until they reach the end of their thread. Bridal Shower Game Pop the Balloon
Provide each guest with a balloon that they must blow up, tie, and break. In each balloon is a strip of paper that has a simple saying. One balloon has the wedding date and that person receives a prize. I purchase 12" wedding color balloons and insert the strips of paper. Sayings that you can use on the strips of paper inside the balloons include, "too bad", "better luck next time", "sorry, no cigar", "nothing for you", etc. It's great to watch participants try to pop the balloons buy sitting, standing, stomping, etc. Latex balloons work the best, as they are a little harder to break.....
