The Kenai Convention and Visitors Bureau is a non-profit, destination
marketing organization, founded in 1984. The Bureau promotes Kenai
and vicinity as a premier visitor destination on the Kenai Peninsula.
The Bureau is also the professional facility manager of the Kenai
Visitors and Cultural Center, a city-owned facility in the heart
of Kenai. Since it’s opening in 1992, the Kenai Visitors
and Cultural Center has become a must-stop for any traveler on
the peninsula, with an average annual visitation of over 60,000!
The Kenai Convention and Visitors Bureau is
supported by staff, volunteers, a Board of Directors, and a membership
base of over 200 businesses and organizations. Membership in the
Bureau is one of the most effective marketing strategies for tourism-based
businesses in Kenai and the surrounding area.
