Fishing Alaska's Kenai River
By Gunnar Pedersen
This is the best Alaska Fishing book that has come out this
year. If you are looking to fish the Kenai this summer, look no
farther than this book, there is no better resource in print.

Welcome to
Alaskan Outfitting
Your Guide to an Alaskan Adventure
Rather than brag that we are the best online resource
for the Alaskan outdoors, we'll be realistic. Seriously, everyone says
they are the best. We want to be the best, but we just aren't there
yet. Our page designs are still falling into place. So please excuse
our mess if you do happen upon these pages. We realize we have a long
way to go.
To watch our progress, please check
out the "What's New Page."
In the coming months, we hope to develop our guide to fishing
the state of Alaska. Our goal is to develop a thorough guide
to the fishing sites around the state so we can help you plan your fishing
trip. Eventually, our location guide
will have listings for each region of the state and will allow you
to match your trip dates to the most productive waters.
The second section that we hope to have up and running shortly is an
Alaskan bookstore. We will combine insightful reviews with the pricing and selection of
Amazon.com. Once we have
set up the fishing section we will begin on the bookstore to help you find the resources you need.
The bookstore will have sections devoted to all the main topics of
interest to Alaskan visitors from wildlife viewing and birdwatching
to Geology and Gold Panning to Anthropology. Look for this section to
be set up by fall.
Beyond that, we have plans to develop content on camping, hiking, ecotourism,
hunting, winter activities,etc,etc... All depending on time.
Until
we can legitimately say we are the best online source for Alaskan information.
We recommend the Alaskan State
Fish and Game Department for the best current Alaskan outdoors information.

Gadget for Feb/March
We are looking to live up to our tagline; The Right
Gear for the Last Frontier. So we are working on our first gear
guide - Headlamps as a test subject. In honor of that, the gadget
of the month is the Petzl E32 P Myolite 3. Look for the link to
the gear page sometime in first week of March.
Buy
it at Amazon.com. If you don't have a headlamp
now, think about it. They are helpful at home and int the field.
