Directory Rules and GuidelinesPlease read this before you submit your website to the directory.
- Only Fishing Related Websites will be accepted.
Please don't submit websites that aren't dedicated to fishing.
- Websites may only have 1 link in the directory,
NOT 1 Link in each category. If you feel your website can fit into more than 1 category, choose the "Most Relevant" category and include the information pertaining to any additional features or pages in your description. If you can think of a specific category that would better describe your website that isn't generic like "fishing", please suggest it on the forums in the relevant category before you submit.
- Use your correct Website Title and give a fair description.
Don't place an "A" or "1" in front to alphabetically advance your listing.
- No advertising Popup Windows.
Popup advertising is annoying and intrusive
- Pages must be viewable in 1024x768 Browser Resolution or below.
A visitor shouldn't have to scroll left to right to view a page.
- Websites are not to primarily consist of affiliate banners.
Don't submit a site that consists primarily of affiliate links and banners.
- Please don't submit websites under construction.
Please wait till you have completed your website before you submit.
- No websites that take too long to load pages.
Please keep your pages below 500kb total, not everyone has a broadband connection.
- DO NOT SUBMIT IN CAPS.
IT'S RUDE TO YELL!
- Browse the "WHOLE" Directory to find the "MOST RELEVANT" category for your website,
there are over 170 categories in the directory, Please Choose Carefully.
- Only sites that have been submitted to the correct category will be considered for addition to the directory.
- NO affiliate codes or the like to be placed on this website anywhere.
There is only 1 listing allowed per site, this is to prevent spamming the directory and encourage careful consideration when selecting the appropriate category for a site to make it easier for surfers to find the type of site they're looking for rather than the same sites listed in many categories.
i.e. If you are selling flies you belong in the tackle area NOT freshwater fly fishing etc.
Lets keep info sites separate from retail sites.
Please DO NOT submit each section of your website to different categories, as this is considered as spam and will be rejected.
Submit your "Home Page" (Not a Sub-Page) "Only Once". Mirror websites and/or sections of websites hosted on another domain such as forums, webrings, etc. are NOT Allowed to be submitted as a separate website.
Please don't try to trick me on these rules, you'll be wasting both your time and mine, in some cases breaking these rules may result in your website being removed and banned. I already spend a lot of time screening websites to provide visitors with the best Fishing Directory I possibly can. Breaking the above rules and guidelines really doesn't help.
