I have bad credit what should I do?
You are not alone; millions of people have trouble with their credit. We
recommend that you obtain copies of your credit
reports from all three of the credit bureaus to find exactly what is
hurting your credit. Then visit our Leaning Center to get step-by-step
directions to remove negative marks from your credit report.
How do I cancel my credit report subscription?
You can cancel your credit report subscription with Experian, (also known
as ConsumerInfo or Credit Check) by emailing cancel@consumerinfo.com
or calling 888-888-8553.
You can cancel your subscription with TransUnion, (also known as TrueLink,
TrueCreditor FreeCreditProfile) online at www.freecreditprofile.com/cancel
or by calling 888-749-0731.
You can cancel your subscription with all FICO products online
or by calling 1-800-319-4433.
You can cancel your subscription with Citi-Credit Monitoring Service
by emailing customerservice@creditmonitoring.citi.com
or by calling 1-866-311-6742 (8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday,
Eastern; 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Eastern).
How will I know if I am approved or declined for a loan?
If you are approved for the loan you will be notified by email or by phone.
If you are declined you will be sent an email and/or notified by US mail.
What is the status of my loan; it’s been 48 hours since I applied
and I have not heard anything?
Often you are sent an initial email letting you know that your application
has been received and is processing. Because these emails are sent from
an unfamiliar email address they are frequently sent to your junk, bulk,
or trash folders so be sure to check carefully for messages related to your
loan. Some individuals may have email settings that delete unknown sender
emails, so you may want to turn these settings off while you are waiting
for the status of your loan. If you have questions about the status
of your loan application you can contact us at loanstatus@credit.com.
Please allow a full 48 business hours to receive information on the status
of your loan application. Keep in mind that many of our lending partners
are closed over the weekends.
