A Fan's Guide to the Game
The Baltimore Orioles are as big of a draw today as they were in the hey days of Cal Ripken Jr. If you are heading out to catch an Orioles game you will want to catch "Our Guide to the Game" below.
One of the reasons fans flock to Orioles games every summer is the fabulous setting. Oriole Park at Camden Yards, located in Downtown Baltimore, is hailed as one of the most beautiful ballparks in baseball. While it is one of the most modern facilities in baseball Oriole Park has the "old time" feel of classic ballparks like Wrigley Field and Fenway Park. If you have never been, it is a definite must see.
Hungry? Before or after the game, get some grub at the Hard Rock Cafe or the ESPN Zone located right across the street. For good eats inside the stadium try the Maryland Crab Cakes at the Past Times Restaurant located on the first floor of the warehouse.
The Babe Ruth Museum, located within walking distance, is another favorite among Orioles fans. The museum has great historic baseball memorabilia on display from the wonder days gone by. At the Babe Ruth Museum it is not all about "the Babe", the halls are rich with Orioles history as well.
The Orioles are sandwiched in the same division as the Red Sox and Yankees, so the competition each year is tough. But with some key acquisitions this off season the O's look to compete so get out there and enjoy a game! See you at the ballpark. |
