(KRON) -- Now it costs more money than ever to use your own money.
According to Bankrate.com's latest survey, ATM fees have hit a new high. This year alone, consumers are spending an estimated $4.3 billion in ATM fees alone.
Charges come from the bank whose ATM you used, and then by your own bank for an average fee of $2.91.
But there are still some good deals out there and Contact 4 found a couple of them.
First Republic Bank doesn't charge you for using another bank's ATM, and will even reimburse that bank's ATM charge. There's a $15 monthly fee unless you have a $2,500 balance.
Fremont Bank also refunds ATM fees. You're charged a $15 monthly fee unless you have a $1,500 balance.
And Mechanics Bank offers the same deal with its Smart and Easy Plan. All you need to qualify is to sign up for direct deposit.
