Dodgers 5, Marlins 2
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

VERO BEACH, Fla. -- Cody Ross, Bill Mueller, Joel Guzman and Delwyn Young hit solo home runs Thursday and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Florida Marlins 5-2.

Dodgers starter Aaron Sele, a non-roster invite to camp, gave up his first two runs of the spring in the third inning. Closer Eric Gagne, recovering from offseason elbow surgery, pitched one scoreless inning.

Hanley Ramirez and Jeremy Hermida hit RBI single for the Marlins.

Dodgers catcher Dioner Navarro is expected to miss up to two weeks because of a hamstring he strained Wednesday.

"It's better than they thought it was going to be and a lot better than I expected," Navarro said. "It's looking good for one week. But, I'll just do what they say and see how it goes."

Navarro, who is expected to start on opening day, injured himself while running out a ground ball.

"We have some concern for Navarro," Dodgers manager Grady Little said. "They're saying 10-to-14 days."
