Along the bumpy cobblestone streets toward Pier 17 you'll find restaurants and shops galore, but this is also a historic district and a living museum. Inside, you can see ship models, prints and paintings.

Outside, tour the boat building shop or take a tour of the 4-masted, 347-foot cargo vessel Peking, one of 6 historic ships, and take home a bit of knowledge as a souvenir.
