Situated as high as 1816 meters above sea level, Livigno offers long skiing season and extremely sunny weather. Over 100 kilometers of perfectly prepared routes attract skiers every year. Although situated high in the mountains, the village is quite busy, cars and coaches are a constant sight in the streets. A number of ski lifts are located on both sides of the village (Livigno is a mainly along the main road, in fact) take skiers to the level of 2800 and more meters, where routes of all difficulty levels are available. A very big advantage of Livigno's slopes is high altitude of the resort's location. On one hand, skiing season lasts here from mid-November till early May. On the other hand, high location of slopes guarantees clear sky and sunny weather almost all year round.

The amateurs of cross country skiing will find something for themselves as well. 40 kilometers of trails have been traced along the Spol River and should be enough for everyone's needs.
