Val Gardena, Italy - ski resort review
No matter whether you plan your mountain holiday stay in summer
or in Winter, Val Gardena will be a perfect choice. Nestled in
the pictoruesque Dolomites, Val Gardena consists of 3 villages:
Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva Gardena (Wolkenstein). Each
of the three villages has much to offer: from sophisticated ski
hotels to self catered apartments as far as mountain accommodation
in concerned, multiple gourmet restaurants, pubs and bars to ensure
good apres ski experience.
The skicircus of Val Gardena divides into three smaller parts.
Ortisei is the best point to access the area of Alpe di Siusi,
while Selva (Wolkenstein) gives the easiest access to the famous
Sella Ronda. Both areas offer many kilometers of ski trails, state-of-the-art
lift facilities and many bars to rest during the active day. Do
not forget to try local drink called 'Bombardino', which is usually
served with espresso to make one strong and lively for the next
part of the day. Skiers staying ion Val Gardena may easily get
connected with other Sella Ronda resorts like Campitello, Canazei
or Arabba. Large ski lifts network will quickly transfer you to
the trail of yor choice and make sure, that you will never ski
the same trail twice.
All ski facilities of the area can be used with just one Dolomiti
Superski pass, which works in all ski resorts of the Dolomites,
excluding only the Marmolada Glacier.
Have fun in Val Gardena!
