My name is Norm McBride, and my life wasn't always this good. Back when I was struggling to get Realtor business, it was a tough situation. I was working way too hard for the amount of money I was bringing in.

You see, I was doing the best I could using all the "old ways", by cold calling on offices, and spending entire weekends visiting open houses, but I was getting more and more exhausted and frustrated. There are days that customers are just not that nice. The worst part was that I had such a huge drive to succeed so I could be a good dad and offer my son everything I didn't have when I was growing up.

One day someone asked if I'd ever considered getting a website. I actually went out and interviewed three different companies. Based on my comparison, I decided on Myers Internet because they were clearly the best.

That decision really made my career take off. After all that time,  I learned that the mortgage business is 100% driven by technology. Everything is done by computer now. And it's Myers' technology driving this industry.
Part of the efficiencies allowing me to do this is that I can drive people to apply online. I no longer have to worry about the tedious, time-consuming application process and I still receive business after I've called it a day.

I started with a standard website, and then upgraded to a better site with fantastic tools for marketing.

Any loan officer
who doesn't have a website is dramatically behind the times. It's sad, but a lot of them don't have an Internet presence and it's really key to their success.

If the company I work for was to go away right now, I still have a presence. It's my lifeline to the world outside. All my experience has made me a very strong loan officer. Adding this to what I've learned from Myers, I have grown my business. Myers has helped me to be who I am right now.
Even though I still go out and shake hands, kiss babies, create signage and banners, the difference is that now I do all this while driving people to my website. The successful loan officer still has to have his hands in a lot of places; the Realtors, the commercial bankers, establishing relationships, and helping people build their business.

The mortgage business is 100% driven by technology. And it's Myers technology driving this industry.

If you help people and make them successful you don't have to worry about yourself. If you get a lead, get them pre-approved, and take them to a Realtor and they have a million dollars to buy, you have a relationship with that Realtor that's going to last a long time. I'm thrusting my website out into the mainstream,
My business plan gives me four or five different categories where I go to market. The Internet is integral to all of them because you have to make it easy for clients and prospects to use you instead of someone else.  Now that I consistently close $20 million every month, I am moving toward my next goal of $50 million a month.   getting it self sufficient to the point of having 4 or 5 leads a day to follow up on. Once that happens, I'm golfing, surfing, and having fun!But the best part is that I have something that is mine that has been developed by great people at Myers.
