Timeshare Resources

1. Resort Condominiums International (RCI) - The largest timeshare exchange company in the world.  Must be a timeshare owner in order to become a member.  An annual membership fee is required in order to become an RCI member.  An exchange fee is then required to make exchanges to other resorts.  RCI handles the exchanges by putting all available units into a "bank" or collection of available timeshares from others who are also wanting to exchange.  RCI then pulls from this selection of timeshares anytime someone requests an exchange. 

2. Interval International (II) - The second largest timeshare exchange company in the world.  Interval's system works similar to that of RCI's system of exchange.  Interval's selection of associated resorts is slightly smaller than the number of associated resorts that RCI has to offer.  A few resorts may have an association with both RCI and Interval. 

3. American Resort Development Association (ARDA) - Professional association that represents the vacation ownership and resort development industries. Established in 1969, ARDA has nearly 1,000 members ranging from privately held firms to publicly traded companies and international corporations with interests in timeshare resorts, community development, fractional ownership and resort communities. The membership also includes timeshare owner associations (HOAs), resort management companies, and owners through the ARDA Resort Owners Coalition (ARDA-ROC).
