ClickTracks: First Web Analytics Vendor to Add Click Fraud Detection

New 6.1 edition includes click fraud reporting, keyword ranking, other SEO tools

Santa Cruz, California -- February 27, 2006 -- ClickTracks Analytics Inc. (www.clicktracks.com), maker of the award-winning line of web analytics software, today announced the release of Version 6.1 of its software. The latest version unveils ClickTracks' new click fraud reporting technology; a new Robot View report that allows marketers to see their site as search engine spiders see it; and, integrated keyword ranking that shows the actual search engine ranking of traffic-producing keywords.

"We felt it extremely important to bring click fraud detection capabilities to the masses, from small businesses all the way up to larger enterprises," said John Marshall, ClickTracks' CEO. "Our customers have told us so many horror stories of click fraud--chunks of their PPC budget being eaten up, along with hours of time being spent on trying to remedy the situation--that we knew we had to do something. Our Click Fraud report is an answer to their pleas for help."

ClickTracks' Click Fraud report pinpoints pay-per-click campaigns with statistically significant variances from other campaigns, whether they're the result of click fraud or just a poorly-performing ad that's eating up budget. ClickTracks' detection works by comparing a variety of statistical measurements across all campaigns. The Click Fraud report requires no additional setup, and allows marketers to substantiate suspicious campaign behavior by generating a report suitable for submission to the PPC provider.

ClickTracks 6.1 also features a new Robot View, which gives marketers a robots-eye-view of their web site. "Because it's important for your web site to be both people-friendly and robot-friendly, ClickTracks shows you both views," said Marshall. "Seeing your site as a search engine robot views it--with areas of importance already highlighted for you--can immediately identify problem areas."

And ClickTracks now lets marketers see the search ranking for keywords that brought visitor traffic to the site. Marketers can then compare the performance of those keywords in terms of number of visitors, time on site, cost, revenue and return on advertising spend. The technology shows keyword search ranking for Google, Yahoo! and MSN.
