TRAVEL ON NORTHWEST AIRLINES.
Northwest Airlines, Inc. prohibits the sale or auction of travel-related documents for cash or other valuable consideration. Upon the occurrence of a sale or auction, the document will be VOID and not usable. This prohibition includes transactions conducted on eBay.
Prohibited sales include but are not limited to the sale of: tickets, WorldPerks frequent flyer miles, WorldPerks tickets, transportation credit vouchers (TCV), miscellaneous charge orders (MCO), promotional free tickets, zone fare certificates, dollars off certificates, percentage off certificates, companion certificates, upgrade certificates, other promotional travel certificates, and all employee-originating travel documents (e.g. Easywrites, companion passes, etc.). If these items appear to have been conveyed for consideration or if these items are sold or auctioned, they will be confiscated upon check-in for travel or at any other time during the traveller's journey, and travel will NOT be permitted. A passenger will be required to buy a ticket to continue their journey or remain stranded.
Additionally, Northwest Airlines will close any violator's (either buyer or seller) WorldPerks account (and prevent such person from subsequently rejoining WorldPerks), and confiscate all miles in any such individual's WorldPerks account from which miles are sold or attempted to be sold.
Certain discount and companion certificates are transferable provided that the rules on the certificate explicitly allow the document to be transferred; however, certificates are never transferable for cash, check, credit card, money order or any other form of payment. Any attempt to bypass these rules, such as the sale of an envelope containing a "free" certificate will be considered a sale of the certificate. Any type of purchased certificate or document purchased from someone other than Northwest Airlines or an authorized agent of Northwest Airlines is subject to confiscation.
Northwest Airlines is the final authority on the interpretation of these rules.
In short, any type of Northwest travel documents purchased
from an unauthorized seller will never be valid for travel.
Please do not purchase these items as Northwest Airlines is not responsible for any travel documents purchased in violation of these rules on eBay or anywhere else.
