Italy Teen Summer Program
Lignano Junior Study Abroad - Camp
Known for its diverse regions, rich culture, and fabulous food, boot-shaped Italy possesses perhaps the most instantly identifiable physical shape of any country in the world. You can visit Roman ruins, gawk at Renaissance art, stay in tiny hill towns, ski the Alps, explore the canals of Venice, and see more churches than you can imagine. Naturally, you can indulge in the elementary pleasures of good food, improving your wardrobe, and seeking out "la dolce vita." From its beaches to its Alpine mountains, Italy vibrates with a special soul that is reflected in its people, music, and art.
Lignano is a penisula south of Fruili situated between Venice and Trieste. This popular resort destination offers over 8 km of fine sandy beaches and large shady pine woods. The peninsula is divided into three distinct areas: Lignano Sabbiadoro, Lignano Pineta and Lignano Riviera. Lignano Sabbiadoro is a lively center that is the heart of everyday entertainment with fine shops, hotels/villas, apartments, restaurants and more. Lignano Pineta in contrast is peaceful and a place where one will find villas and hotels almost hidden amidst the vegetation of the pine woods and the sand dunes. Lastly, Lignano Riviera, with a new boat marina offers the peaceful holiday spas, the Zoo Park Punta Verde, and a 18 hole golf course. Lignano's mild climate, golden stretch of beach, tranquil pinewoods and active, safe city center makes this an excellent environment for teens to learn and have fun!
