You can unsubscribe from most email that Yahoo! sends you; however you are not able to unsubscribe or opt out from receiving administrative announcements, such as notifications of terms of service or privacy policy changes. Administrative announcements may also include the following: welcome messages you receive when you sign up for a Yahoo! product or service; billing statements; and service status notices telling you a service is being discontinued or providing updates on service outages.
You can unsubscribe from the following types of email: marketing messages, newsletters, premium service product updates, and alerts. To unsubscribe from these emails, click on the "Unsubscribe" link found on the bottom of each message you receive.
Alternatively, you may also follow these instructions to opt out from those emails, or to verify your current preferences.
- Yahoo! Marketing Communications
- Visit the Marketing Preferences page. You'll find links to the page in your Account Information and the Yahoo! Privacy Policy.
- Choose which categories of email about Yahoo! products and services you would like to receive. Mark the "Yes" option if you'd like to receive email about that category, and select "No" if you wouldn't.
- Choose how we may contact you and where. You may edit or change each of these fields.
- Save your changes. Your changes will take effect within 10 business days.
- Newsletter Subscriptions
- Visit the Newsletter Management page. You'll find links to this page on the Marketing Preferences page and at the bottom of each newsletter we send.
- Choose which newsletters you would like to receive. Mark the "Yes" option if you'd like to receive a particular newsletter, and select "No" if you wouldn't.
- Select which email address you would like each newsletter sent to. If the pull-down menu does not include the email address you'd like to use, click the "Edit Email Addresses" link near the top-right of the page.
- Click the "Mailing Details" link next to each newsletter for more details about it. The details page provides additional information about the mailing including a description of the content, frequency, and a sample newsletter.
- Save your changes. Your changes will take effect within 10 business days.
- Overture Services Newsletter
- To unsubscribe from the newsletter, click here or use the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email.
- Alerts
- Visit Yahoo! Alerts. Most alerts you have subscribed to will be shown on this page, including Mobile Alerts.
- To edit an alert, click the pencil to the right of the alert name. To delete an alert, click the garbage can to the right of the alert name.
- You can also unsubscribe to an alert by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each Yahoo! Alerts email.
Note: Yahoo!'s marketing preferences and other unsubscribe tools only apply to email sent to you from Yahoo!. These preferences and tools do not affect email sent through Yahoo! servers on behalf of other people who use "Tell a Friend" forms; emails sent through Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Groups, and other services; or spam email sent using invalid or fake Yahoo! Mail addresses.
