"Good value for money"
After booking at the Augustus we were transferred to the Kent, which turned out to be a blessing. Rooms a bit small and Air con struggled to keep up but good value for money and staff excellent. Area looks a bit dodgy but on walking around found some nice restaurants only 200m away. try the Marrema. Very close to Porta Pia where buses take you to town or straight rhough to Vatican. Recommended if you looking for value and are not too fussy.

stayed at the Kent with my husband and 13 year old daughter from 6th to 13th July. Although not in town centre we were within walking distance and just round the corner was Porta Pia where we could catch a bus to anywhere in town. The hotel is small but extremely nice and very clean and modern with a/c. Rooms were compact with very comfortable beds and on suite bathrooms with shower and bidet. The continental breakfast was served in a bright airy room and was very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay at the Kent it was great value for money and if you don't mind being off the beaten track a little (which as it turned out we were grateful for as the city centre is always busy and noisy) you couldn't do better than the Kent. The absolute best thing about the Kent is the staff they could not have been nicer or more helpful (especially all the desk guys who answered all our questions and gave excellent directions and advice.)

The Hotel Kent was very comfortable and the services offered by the employees were very good. They were able to accomodate us for an additional evening and were also able to send a car to the airport to pick us up at a very reasonable price. Their staff was very friendly and informative regarding the surrounding area of Rome and directing us to various places we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Kent again the next time we are in Rome.
