These pages provide assessments of forecast skill for the Met Office (GloSea) 'category map' products. To view skill for the current forecast period, set start month to correspond with the month of forecast issue, then select the forecast period and weather element of your choice. The assessments are calculated from retrospective forecasts over the 15-year period 1987-2001, using the Gerrity skill score (see user guide).
