--Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice

This site provides information on U.S. efforts to work with other governments, the private sector, civil society and other organizations to plan and implement voluntary partnerships that promote economic growth, social development and environmental stewardship.

My Community, Our Earth
March 6, 2006 -- The My Community My Earth Partnership is accepting proposals from university students (enrolled in geography, agriculture, environmental studies and related programs) to conduct community-oriented research projects on sustainable development topics. MyCOE’s Geographic Learningship Program sites are located in the U.S. Gulf States, the Mississippi River Basin and the Caribbean. Proposals should address relevant sustainable development topics, employ GIS, GPS or remote sensing and should include an element of community outreach. The program is already underway, but proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout 2006.
